A company with a complete offer of coffee and espresso machines. Crem International has a strong ownership grouping, with a distinct focus on growth. That gives us at Crem International excellent potential to be a world-leading manufacturer of coffee and espresso machines.

Crem International has two familiar and very strong brands ‚?? Coffee Queen and Expobar. Under the brand Coffee Queen, we have brought together all our machines for freshly brewed and instant coffee, water and juice. Under the brand Expobar, we offer our top-quality espresso machines. Bringing together these two brands means we manufacture the market‚??s widest offer. It makes us unique.

THE HISTORY OF CREM

The major challenge when the massive European tourist invasion to Spain gained momentum 1964/65 was to prepare and adjust the hotel- and restaurant trade for this new phenomenon.
Rafael Olaso Peirò was very familiar with this trade and began importing exclusive, innovative and necessary products from Italy for developing the hotel- and restaurant market in Spain.
In 1985 he started constructing an espresso machine which bore the same name as his company ‚?? ‚??Expobar‚?Ě for the hotel- and restaurant market in Spain.
In 1988 Rafael Olaso Peir√≤ presented the espresso machine ‚??Expobar‚?Ě to the Spanish market. Subsequently he began exporting to Europe.

Important events in the history of Crem

1993
Rafael Olaso Peir√≤ founds ‚??CREM A. CAFEXPRESS,S.L.‚?Ě with his sights set on the international market. This year 650 machines are sold.
1998
The new model ‚??Elegance‚?Ě brings great sales volumes for Crem.
1999
Crem is developed to one of the largest plants in Gandia‚??s industrial sector and changes name to ‚??Crem 1‚?Ě.
2000
Crem moves location to enable expansion of its production and changes name to ‚??Crem 2‚?Ě.
2001
The new model ‚??Megacrem‚?Ě, a new machine range, places the company amongst the foremost producers. Annual sales volume reaches 8,000 machines.
2003
Crem adds another two departments ‚??Crem 3‚?Ě necessary for work and production. This year 12,000 machines are sold. The new model ‚??Monroc‚?Ě is developed to meet the market‚??s demand for a more price competitive machine.
2005/2006
Crem initiates two expansion projects for the American market and forms the two companies ‚??MACROLS‚?Ě in Santo Domingo and ‚??CREM USA‚?Ě in Miami.
2006/2007
Crem strengthens its product portfolio by creating an upper market range. The new models ‚??G-10‚?Ě and ‚??ELENA‚?Ě become market leading. All previous sales records are smashed and an annual sales volume of 22,000 machines are reached. The ‚??Vending‚?Ě model is developed to cover all demand regarding coffee machines. Crem and Coffee Queen of Sweden start a factory in Shanghai in order to expand on the Asian market.
2008
Crem merges with the company Coffee Queen in Sweden and jointly forms ‚??CREM INTERNATIONAL‚?Ě.
IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS A PERSISTENT MAN FROM CHARLOTTENBERG BY THE NAME OF ALVAR CARLSON‚?¶
He was a born inventor who liked to experiment with stainless steel. When he was designing dishwashers or manufacturing sink units he drank coffee. While he drank coffee he invented his own coffee machine.
Manufacture of the first coffee machine to bear his company name, EDEA 2x7 litre, began in 1968. Alvar and his small workforce battled on in Charlottenberg with their machines that became known for their high quality. One of the employees was Stig Månsson who took over EDEA in 1981. Georg Möller began manufacture of the first Coffee Queen in Stockholm in 1983 but manufacture was subsequently subcontracted. When the two met a merger was inevitable. EDEA would manufacture Coffee Queen. Georg Möller bought EDEA in 1986.
Since then there has been rapid development. From five employees the company expanded to 65 in just a few years. There will probably be more as the rest of the world realises what good coffee the easy to look after coffee queens from Värmland brew.

Milestones in the history of Coffee Queen

1983
Georg Möller started Coffee Queen in Stockholm.
1986
Coffee Queen acquired the company EDEA AB in Charlottenberg, who had manufactured coffee machines since 1968. This merge developed to the present Coffee Queen AB.
1999
Coffee Queen was registered as a trademark in Sweden.
2003
The factory moved from Charlottenberg to new premises in Arvika.
2005
The first subsidiary company of Coffee Queen was established, namely Coffee Queen Norge AS
2006
Coffee Queen entered the Asian market and established Coffee Queen Beverage Machinery Shanghai, China.
2007
Coffee Queen acquired the German company Pressomat. Coffee Queen Pressomat GmbH was established.
2007
Accent Equity acquired 51% of Coffee Queen AB.
2008
Coffee Queen acquired Spanish Crem. Crem International was established.
